Paul,I looked in my family tree maker and the closest I had gotten to your James L. Jordan is James Lee Jordan who married Lottie Viola Kirkland. I didn't have a Virgil Jordan or a Ruben Samuel Jordan. I wish I could have helped you. Good Luck on your search.
