Re: Wm. Jordan 1686 VA - Descendants

Diane: Jonas Jordan, 1725-1785 appears to be the same as I have who appears to be my great great grandfather.His son, Jonas was the father of my grandfather, William Arthur Jordan.I have found census records for these as well as thru other sources.I have Jonas Jordan(abt. 1755-1826) married to Elizabeth(Betty) Elmore; Jonas 1725-1785 married to Maurice???.My research has his father was Matthew Jordan, mother Judith Ware. Matthew's father was Samuel Jordan and mother Elizabeth Fleming.

I know that different families had the same names and it really gets confusing.I try to document and correct as I find other trails.
