Norma I have not found out if the Dempsey Jordan who died in Ponotoc Co Miss abt 1856( the 1850 Ponotoc Co Census list him age 66 born Ga) is the son of Dempsey Jordan & Sarah ONeal. I believe Sarahs husband died before her. Sarahs will list a Dempsey Jordan. I have Sarah ONeal dying in 1848 Green County Ga. Her will is dated 31 May 1848.She would have been well over 80 years old at this time.There are several Dempsey Jordans perhaps you are right.It is a brick wall I have not been able to break. There are Dempsey Jordans buying land in Tallapoosa Co Ala about the 1830s.I believe this may also be them. I wish I could help there are several people on the internet who are intrested also.If I can help let me know.Larry
