I may have already responded to you, but the
father of James Pinckney Jordan was John Jordan, b. ca l784, S. C.John married Mary
Eliza Pelham, dau of Ambrose Pelham, Sr. and
Lydia Kirkland, dau of Reuben Kirkland of
Edgefield Co., S.C.John's parents were Nathan Jordan, Sr. and Jennie Sexton, who
lived in Barnwell Co., S. C. and Washington
Co., Ga.John's siblings were Samuel, Nathan
Jordan, Jr., William, and Ann.The four
brothers lived in Baker County, Ga.After
the death of Mary Eliza, John returned to
S. C. and married Elizabeth DeWitt.They
returned to Baker County, Ga.Sometime after
l842, John Died and Elizabeth married James
Pearson, a brother to Susan Taylor Pearson,
wife of David M. Jordan, your James' brother.
I descend through Ambrose Pelham Jordan, another brother, who married Mary F. Collier,
the sister to your James' wife, Rebecca.
They were the daughters of Benjamin Collier
of Blakely, Early Co., Ga.
