Re: Jordans of Elbert

I've been trying to trace a Fountain Jordan, born 1763, Rev. War pensioner in Troup County, GA at age 77 in census.

I found a Fountain Jordan, who migrated from Wake, NC to SC during land grants, "Fountain Jordan, Nathan Jordan, and John Chauncey Jordan of Wake Co., N. C. All migrated to Edgefield Co. S. C"

Are there 2 Fountain Jordans in SC, then?One son of Absalom, or is this the same one, perhaps?I think he is the father of my GG grandfather Fountain Jordan, born 1824 Hart county (next to Elbert County, GA where senior Fountain lived for a time, according to census).
