Re: Jordans of Elbert & Hart Counties
Thanks for replying to my email.I do not know that I have "proved" anything, but Terrell/Taylor families "claim" that Rachel married Wm Taylor Jr.Jeremiah Terrell definitely had grandson named Bardon Rice Taylor since he named him in his will.
Do you know the title of the Gwinnett County Ga book with Ann Jordan Britt information?I am in a unique position in that I have TWO James Jordans, both in Elbert County 1820 census.I am still searching for proof of parents for BOTH of them.
I've always wondered why Beady's James Jordan did not receive a draw in 1805 Land Lottery. If he were John and Rachel Jordan's son, he would have met residency requirement. If born in 1780, he would met age requirement. He married Obedience the next year, so would have been eligible for one draw as a single man.Why didn't he get it?
Would you be willing to email me directly about this? Thanks, Gwen
