Jose in Ohio

Hello my maiden name is Jose.

My grandparents Harlan Eugene Jose & Mary Jane (Stroup) Jose adopted my mother, Roberta Jolene Jose. They also had 4 other biological children. I know that Mary's father was Alonzo Stroup & that Harlan's parents were Chester & Mildred Jose. Chester was a baptist minister.
I have always been told that we could trace our line back to 17th century Spain but I never took the time to look into it until I literally stumbled upon your postings & was curious to see if any of these lines led to me.
