Re: Joseph and Marie Jose of West Texas
Is there any interest in the Jose DNA testing? if more are interested in this study it may tell where the Jose line really originated from. The line I am connected to started in Ireland, this Jose became a soldier of fortune for the Spanish King, must have been around 1820, when political dangers arose he fled to France and married there, had a Son Joseph Jose, they brought him to the U.S. and left him. he married a Marie Lee in Georgia, they Settled in S.W. Texas on a large horse and cattle ranch. This family is hard to research as I can find no leads in Marriage, death, tax or census data. anyone interested in the DNA testing can look it up at Family Tree DNA and click ona surname. best to go with the 67 to 111 markers.
