Michael, what sources are listed in these Ohio county histories than tell of this data you write about concerning Samuel & Job Judkins?I caution you that county histories are notoriously incorrect, though there maybe some truth weaved throughout the article on the family.
Job of Boston did have a son by the name of Samuel,he was born 27 Sept 1638 (Boston Town Record). He died pre 1676 Medfield, MA (Suffolk County Deed). This Samuel never went to Virginia.
There has never been any documentation that any of Job's siblings came to America with him.
There has never been any documentation that Samuel Judkins of Surry Co., VA had any siblings come over with him either.
I don't wish to go into all the whys & wherefores at the moment regarding the Judkins, but invite you to read the first page of the Judkins Family Association homepage and then read the pages on Job of Boston & Samuel of Surry Co.
These erroneous tales get started and they are so very hard to stop. The best way to stop them is to document each and every fact you pick up and if there is something you can not verify by an original record or the preponderance of evidence then so state that fact.
I hope I've answered your questions, Kathi Judkins Abendroth Pres. Judkins Family Association
