Hi,My name is Jennifer Kahler.My husband is Jeffrey Kahler.He is a descendent of the Carl Kahler and Johanna that you are referring to.This is what we know:
1)Carl Kahler and his wife Johanna Meyers were from Mecklenberg, Germany.
2)Their oldest son Otto was born in Mecklenberg, as well.
3)They three other children, John Lewis, Louisa, and Christopher.
4)John Lewis Kahler married Betsey Broere (the daughter of Bastiaan Broere and Gertruida DeGroot) both born in the Netherlands.
5)John Lewis Kahler and Betsey Broere had eight children that suvived into adulthood plus thee that died in infancy.
6)The adults were Hattie, Charles, John Lewis Jr., Bastiaan, Arthur, Raymond, Clarence, and Mildred.
