my ancestors came from Germany.My Fathers name was Carl Bennit Kahler, his father was Nick Kahler who had a brother who's name was Fred, or Fritz.Fred never married or had children.
I am sorry I do not have more information then I do.I believe that Nicks father was Carsten or something like this, possibly Carlston Kahler.My Fathers mother was a Bennit which I believe is how my father came to his name, Carl Bennit Kahler.
Iam here researching to find out what my ancestors names were.I am one of 4 remaining Kahlers from this strain of the Kahler name.I know my Grandfather, Nick came from Central Iowa, but do not know where.Dad always said we had relation in Iowa, but that is beyond my knowledge.
