How about my mother who's maiden name was Bergstrom, Swedish for "Mountain Stream".She went from being a mountain stream to being a mud puddle.
Oh in case anyone is wondering, I believe that my branch of the Kalüza tree changed the spelling during World War One to get away from any suggestion of being German and to be more patriotic....USA and all that!
Based on my current information, I am the great-grandson of Ignacy Kalüza and Josie Kotula who married on 8-9-1881 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in East Chicago.
Peace and Joy to all the kin!
