I am writing this correspondence on behalf of my mother-in-law and two of her sisters who are attempting to locate the two youngest siblings from their family. Sadly, the two youngest were taken away by the state in April or May of either 1960 or 1961.The details are sketchy as the biological mother of all of the children has since passed away with much of the information unshared.The known information is as follows;
Cheryl Lynn Kaminske, born August 8, 1953 in Detroit, MI Kenneth Darryl Kaminske, born December 27, 1958 in Detroit, MI
There are many different spellings of the name that I have found, so I will be posting this under a few other names, (i.e. Kaminsky, Kaminski, Komenski, to name a few).
The children were removed from the home of their biological parents, Orville and Maxine Kaminske.There is a good possibility that the organization that removed them was the, “Lutheran Social Services of Michigan” (formerly known as the “Lutheran Children Friends Society”)
These wonderful ladies have wondered most of their lives what happened to their youngest siblings and have given me permission to post this on their behalf in hopes that someone may have information as to what happened to Cheryl and Kenneth.
If you have any information, please don’t hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
