I believe we are talking about 2 different lines. However,I believe they intersect somewhere on Isle of Wight, Virginia.
My Isle of Wight Kea/Kae information comes from [email protected] Larry Kea. that is where you will find William W. Kea Sr. b 1784 Edgecombe County, North Carolina son of William Kea b. 1756 Isle of Wight, Virginia.
My direct lineage James Warren Key b 1834 Emanuel Co, Ga.son of Burrell Curtis Kea Sr., was my great grandfather. James Warren Key Sr. b 1767 Chowan Co, North Carolia was his (James Warren Key 1834) greatgrandfather according to family genealogy. Some of my resources, aside from family stories, include:Key/Kea and related Families 1820-1995,by Willie Lou Sumner Hutchinson (which includes work from a previous book by Mrs. Lewis?? Not positive of her name); Rolls From Hadley's Company 10th Regiment, NorthCarolina Line;1 or more individual Ancestry Family Tree files;notes from Lyndon KEY
Selected abstracts of Births, Deaths and Marriages from the1878 edition. The Dublin Post. 1878 (obituary of WesleyKea);infofrom the Thomas Royal Descendants website, July 17, 2006; "Georgia Place-Names" www.kenkrakow.com/gpn/k.pdf:
AND several other sources including family members both presently living and deceased.
Feel free to write me and maybe we can tie up some of these loose ends, LOL.
