Yes, John Wesley was in the CSA.We do not have any information about Lucinda's family.I found JW (called Wesley) mentioned in a volume of interviews with Confederate soldiers. The soldier interviewed said that "Wesley Keathley" and another man "? Herd" served with him.The name of the man is in the book, but can't remember it now.I assumed that it was
probably Lucinda's brother. The Sons of the Confederacy placed a marker at JW's grave about 3 years ago.I saw the video of the ceremony, and they mentioned the year that he moved to Texas. It seems like it was in the 1880s.I'll check with my father about it.
By the way, for all Keathleys (and variations of the spelling), there is a Keathley webpage which gives a fairly detailed history of the family.Dr. Sandy Keathley, who lives in Plano, TX, has done extensive research into the family. He would be a good resource.
