Re: Kempson, any at all, any year, any place
I am related (my ggg grandfather)to a Henry Kempson who was born in Nottingham and baptised in East Leake on March 29th 1816. He supposedly left a wife (Jane nee Winfield - married St. Stephen's Church, Sneiton, Nottingham 13/1/1836) and child Thomas Winfield Kempson) to come to South Australia in 1840 on the 'Rajasthan'. He had two sons (Henry and Frederick)to an Elizabeth Parker. My line follows that of Henry Jnr. Later Elizabeth died and the sons were fostered out. Henry Snr appears to have followed the gold rush to Victoria in 1852 and married an Ellen Yuille. Not much is known from this time on.
Hope this is of some use.
