Hi Noel,
Thank you so much for your response, and your offer to help. I really appreciate it.
If you could check the book that you have and see if there is any mention of an Esdras/Esdress/Esdres Kendall that would be very helpful.
I've been corresponding with Andrew, who also responded to my message, and I'm pretty sure that I am from your line. He also corresponded with Kathleen prior to her death, and mentioned that she lived in Canada. So I think I'm on the right track!
My line goes something like this (I think - still proving all of it):
1. Esdras Kendall b. abt. 1773 Norfolk / Leeds England.
Esdras was transported to Australia aboard the ship "Ocean" in 1816. He was supposedly convicted of robbing a mail coach, although that may just be family lore. He returned to England after his 7 years of convict service.
1A. William Kendall b. 1810 England. Don't know anything else about him. He likely emmigrated to America in around 1872.
1A1. Esdress Moore Kendall b. Dec 1850 England. Emmigrated to America in 1872. Married Melissa Jane Wood 6 Jun 1878 in Bancroft, Daviess County, Missouri. Died 25 Apr 1922 in Pueblo, Colorado.
If you see any of these people, it would be an enormous help!
Thanks so much
