I have in my database a Thomas Kindall b.1775 Orange Co VA d.after1860 who m.(1)Rebecca Holman or Holdman & m.(2)Nancy Ann (or perhaps Mary Ann) ____. This Kindall line is associated with NC. My source notes are: "Per Susie Kendall Thomas Kendall & Nancy Ann (Mary Ann per other authorities) had 4 children: Wade, Emeline, Sarah, James H. This conflicts w/ other authorities who show Thomas Kendall-10541/Margaret Paisley as parents of Wade, Emeline,Sarah, James H & their spouses."If these children's names match your data, then this is the Kindall you're looking for. Here are more source notes on other Kindalls of this line: "Ancestor of correspondent Betty J Huss, 2631 Burlington, Billings, MT 59102 who wrote 14 Aug 1990 with several generations of Kindall.

--Post 2 May 97 to VA State GenWeb page by E.Cecil Kendall He notes:"I am seeking someone to do a lookup for me on William KINDEL. I would like to know where he is buried and what is written on his stone. This is the abstract version of his will: `pages 510-511. Will of William Kindel of the Parish of St.Thomas and County of Orange, being sick and weak of body, dated 9th of 1775 [9 Jan 1775?].' I assume that the brackets refer to the 9th day of the year, meaning Jan 9th. It is witnessed 26 June 1777. Proved by Thomas Robins and William Picher. Also,the will ends with the name William (W) Kindel, is there a meaning for the (W)? Is it his middle initial, or refers to his mark maybe? I would like a copy of the written version of the will and the info on the stone and where it is. William Kindel is my 4gr grandfather and this is all the information I have on him other than the query that I have posted in the Orange Co queries. He was married to Sarah FOSTER Kendall, who gather her brood of 6 and moved to Wilkes County NC, after William's death in Orange Co. It was written in 1775 and proved in June of 1777. Could someone please tell me where the Parish of St.Thomas is, and if there is a written record of the burials of that parish and if so where may I purchase it or find where my William Kindel is buried. Next, would anyone know if there is such a thing as a death certificate for that time (1777), if so how do I find it? BASICALLY I CAN'T PUT MY WILLIAM KINDEL IN A FAMILY and can't get him back past that born about 1740 bit. Would appreciate ANY help anyone could give me no matter how menial it may sound. Thanks.'

--James Foster of Fort Smith AR is a descendant and has ancestors of Sarah Foster.
