William Kennan; b. 1841;IRL (Workington,ENG 1881 census)
Hello:
I just reviewed an entry from the 1881 Workington, Cumberland, ENG census:
Dwelling: Black Door Whitfield Street, Workington, Cumberland
Household:
William Kennan; M (married) 40(age)male IRL (birthplace)
head Iron Worker (occupation);
Ruth Kennan; M 50 female IRL;
wife
Felix Kennan; Unmarried; 14 male IRL
son (relationship to head of household) Iron Worker;
Sarah J. Kennan; U 9female IRL
daughter scholar;
Edward Rice; U 20 male IRL
Boarder Iron worker
I am researching my gr-gr-gr grandparents; Felix and Sarah Jane (McQuoid) KEENAN;b. 1814/1819;IRL. Their son, John was baptized in Kircubbin, Co.Down in 1835. Felix and family immigrated to the Workington area about 1845. Family records indicated Felix's niece Margaret married an Edward Rice. Too many coincidences.
Anyone with any additional info please drop me a line.
Best regards,
Chuck Keenan
