in favour of Hew Kennedy of Chapell and his heirs male
whom failing the said John Kennedy and his heirs male
according to the terms of a charter of taillie by William Adair of Kinhilt
to the said John (Kennedy of Creichane),
of the 5 merklands of Creichane in the parish of Kirkmadin
with precept directed to James Mure in Innermessane.

in lands of Kernegirroch [Cairngarroch] in the parish of Kirkmadin [Kirkmaiden], Wigton [Wigtownshire], following on contract 21 Nov 1612;sasine 14 Dec 1612.
Creichane was down near Drummore Castle which was just north of Mull.
The lands of Mull / Muill / Mool, Parish of Kirkmaiden
appear to be on the southern tip of Wigtownshire,
at some time owned by James McCulloch.
They were not the lands of Meoul & Colfin (of Gilbert & Helen Kennedy) which were up near Portpatrick & Stranraer.
