Archibald Kennedy may have built Castle Synones / Sinnoness
near Glenluce, Wigtownshire, Scotland.Was he a brother of one of the Kennedys noted below ?Not sure if there was a Rev. Thomas Kennedy from Baltersan who went to Ireland.

for Johnne Kennedy, Earl of Cassillis,
to relieve and keep skaithless Niniane ADAIR of Kinhilt of his cautionary for the said Earl
not to harm Johne Kennedy of Baltersane, under the pain of 5,000 pounds,
as the said act dated 28th November last bears , - Mr. Lawrence McGill
registering the band, written by Gilbert Ros in Mayboill, and subscribed there, 5th June,
before Hew Kennedie of Clachantone,
Gilbert Ros in Maybole, William Maitland
and Thomas Kennedy, servitors to the said Earl.
Johnne Kennedy of Balneill (and Grennan, father of Gilbert Kennedy mc.1603 Helen Adair ?)
and (his son ?) Hew Kennedy of Grenehorne(Grennan ?) for the said Earl,
in 5,000 pounds, not to harm Niniane ADAIR of Kinhilt, - the band

and Patrik Campbell in Cairmagill, 500 merks each,
and for Johnne McDowall of Logane, 2,000 merks, also to the effect foresaid, -

before Johnne Kennedy, younger of Carlok,
William Johnnestoun, servitor to (Ninian Adair) the Laird of KINHELT,
David Vaus, servitor to the Laird of Logane,
and Robert Campbell, Carrick pursuivant, writer hereof and notary public.

and his said accomplices during their rebellion, under the pains in the letters raised
at the instance of Sir George Home of Spot, treasurer,
Mathow Stewart of Dunduff, brother of George Stewart, and Alexander Stewart of Gairlies,
masterfor the time to the said deceased George, -
said letters dated at Halyrudhous 12 November 1601.
The band (bond), presented for registration
by Mr. Robert Leirmounth, is subscribed at Stronrawer (Stranraer), 8th December (1601) before Johne McDowell of Logane, Williame ADAIR of Ganoch, Williame Weir in Edinburgh,
Williame Gairdner, notary, writer hereof, and David Boyd in Corsan.”
