George Kenny (1824-1902) IRL>ONT>VT>CAN

George K Kenny immigrated with his parents, Charles and Ann Kenny, to Upper Canada (Ontario) in 1834.They settled first in Durham Co. and moved to Grey Co. in 1848.George left his first wife, Ruth Willoughby, c. 1884 and moved to Shelburne, Chittendon Co., Vermont withEtta Louise Brooks (born c. 1865).He was back in Ontario by the time of the 1901 census.He named 3 of his children with Etta Louise in his will - Berta Kenny, born c. 1884, Edwin E Kenny, born c. 1888 and Lancelot W. Kenny, born c. 1891.Etta Louise Brooks next married Frederick Petterson.She had at least three more children: Lucille E Kenny, Frederick M Petterson and Janet I Petterson.

My own ancestor, John W Kenny (1852-1928) was old enough to be 1/2 sister, Lucille's grandfather.
