Full Text:
Fitzsimons, Michael was born in Westmeath in November, 1845. For some years prior to his immigration to New York in 1864 he was employed in various capacities. In New York he was employed in a brickyard until October, 1865 when he came to Chicago, and learned the trade of brick-mason and plasterer. In 1878 he located near the Union Stockyards. For two mos. in 1883 he was sewer inspector for the town of Lake and was later appointed roadmaster in his district. CHICAGO IRISH FAMILIES
