Kerrigans in France

While in Strasbourg last summer, I came across a restaurant called "Corygan's" which had a nifty story on the cover of the menu. It talked about the "Corygans" ("Little People" -- Leprechauns?!?!?) who lived in the northwest region of France (right across the water from Ireland, more or less). Anyone know anything about this branch of the family tree?
