Hi, Lee, I recognized Rev. Helffrick as a name that cropped up in the records in Eastern Penna. and contacted several friends who research that area. One, Rev. Nevin Kershner, replied with an address for the Lancaster Theological Seminary Historical Society at 555 West James Street, Lancaster, PA 17603.You should write them and ask about a book written by Dr. Charles Schaffer concerning the Helffricks family of ministers to the Reformed church. There were several generations of them. Mention the time periods of the references to your husband's records and any other hints, such as the location, church, etc. that you happen to know. They may be able to tell you a little about the particular minister. If there is too much information for them to extract they may be able to tell you where in your area a library could have that book. Last resort, see if any used book sources in the Internet have copies of the book for sale. Good luck.
I also have some feelers out on your question about Jacob Kershner (7-11-1784 to 5-19-1825). I will have to write to a source about his grave site since that person doesn't have an e-mail address currently. Will pass along anything I find.
