Shirley, since I last posted, I have found my Kiefer's in the Weingarten Catholic Church of Baden, Germany.It is in the Zell/Weirbach region outside of Offenburg.My great great grandmother was Kearolina Kiefer, daughter of Valentine Kiefer.Valentine's father was Bartholomew Kiefer.That is all that I know at this time.A cousin has done research at a LDS center and found this info.There are also many Kiefers at the St. James Catholic Church, White Oak, Hamilton Co., OH.Idon't have all of that info but a little to show that several were there.In addition, I have discovered Kiefers in Ste. Genevieve County, MO.There is a Zell, MO, and an Offenburg, MO, both town names that figure in my family history in Germany.I have just started to research these areas and know only that the names are there.It might be a place for you, too.Good luck.
