Johann Abraham Kieffer marr. Anna Barbara Gerhard June 21, 1713 in Leitersweiler. Moved to Berks Co. Pa.
Both Casper & Abraham emigrated in 1748 on ship "Two Brothers", to Phila.
From sources on the World Connect Project for Abraham, they have him born in Kettenheim, which is a quite a distance from Breitenbach.I don't believe this is correct. All of these families are recorded in the Familienbuch Breitenbach, 1663-1798, by Mr. Thomas M. Pfaff.
Abraham & Anna Barbara Gerhard Kieffer's son: Johann "Nicolaus" b. Nov. 12, 1734 in Breitenbach was 13 yrs. old from the ship list (also confirmed by records in Breitenbach), married Veronica Steinbrenner in 1754 in Germany.
Is this a mistake, or did Nicolaus return to Germany and marry there. Or is this another Nicolaus that was confused for the the immigrant? I have the church book for all of the Kieffer's and wondered where the other sources came from.
These Kieffer's descend from Hans Jacob Kieffer from Zweibrücken circa 1640.
