Is your grandmother Jewel Smelser? My grandfather is Charles Asa Blanton was Jewels younger brother. My father is Harold Blanton, raised by Aunt Zelphia (Blanton) Davis.
Dads brothers are Charles, raised by Aunt Jewel, Edwin, raised by Uncle Jeff (Groom). Does any of this sound right to you? We are going to the Carter family reunion June 12, in Claude. This is where Grandma Blanton is buried along with many other Kights.
