"Are You My Cousin?"
If you’re not convinced yet as to how Y-DNA testing will help you, please read an excellent article appearing in a recent AARP Newsletter titled “Are You My Cousin?”
Who Can Test?
To participate you must be a male who was born with the surname Kilcoyne or believe that your direct male ancestry leads to a Kilcoyne (name change, adoption etc.) with no female ancestors in direct line (father, grandfather, g-grandfather, etc.) If you are a non-Kilcoyne male or female researcher you’ll need to find a male cousin, uncle, nephew, etc. who carries the Kilcoyne surname and you can participate through that person.
** Also, be sure to put a Y-DNA Test Kit on your Christmas list this year to GIVE or RECEIVE.Test kits make excellent Birthday gifts too!!!

My Grandfather was Frederick Kilcoyne whose Grandfather Patrick Kilcoyne came to the US from Ireland in 1875. I also run the Dunbar Surname DNA Project which is very successful.
