Thanks for your note.Killeen is not a common name so there is always the possibility that we might be related.
My great great aunts Margaret, Ann, and Catherine Killeen all came over to Archbald, PA, with their sister and her husband (my great grandparents).Margaret married into the Loughran family from Scranton, PA, Ann married Michael McGee from Archbald, and Catherine married a Loftus from Archbald.
So, you have Killeens and Duffys married in your family too :o)
You said that your Maggie Duffy is still in Ireland living near the old homestead.Where would that be?
My Duffys and Killeens are from Kilcummin, County Mayo.My son and I visited there two years ago and found 2nd cousins on both sides. Sat in their kitchens and had tea and sandwiches.
Kilcummin is just north of Ballina and on the coast of Killala Bay.The French landed there in 1798 to try and rescue the Irish from the English.Failed.And they say we Irish are lucky :o)
If your Killeens or Duffys are from Kilcummin, then there is a very good chance we are related.
