Re: Ursula Scott and Richard Kimball
After searching in England for the Will of Edmund Scott I, I was unable to find one.Have copies of original parish records of Bradfield St. George, Suffolk Co., Eng. which show Henry bapt 1 Nov 1560, Edmund II bapt 31 May 1562, Mary bapt 2 Aug 1565.Have copies of original parish register of Rattlesden which show the rest of the family of Edmund I and Johan, his wife, were born in Rattlesden.
From original parish register of Rattlesden, Suffolk Co., Eng:
159425 Julye Henry Scoote and Martha Whatlocke maried
159814 ffebuarye Urslaye Scoote the Daughtr of Henry & Martha baptised
1624Decebr 24 Henry Scott was Buried
I do have the Will of Gregory (George) Scott dated 2 October 1574 in Bradfield St. George. He bequeathed to his son Edmund "ten marks of good and lawful money of England and two milk veal".
I have no positive "proof" that Edmund I was the father of Henry, but since George was buried in the churchyard of Bradfield St. George on 30 Aug. 1562, and since he mentions his son Edmund I in his Will, and since Edmund's son Henry was bapt in Bradfield St. George, I have concluded that Edmund was the father of Henry.Hope this helps a little.
