Samuel C. Kemberling
Of 513 22nd Ave., died at 9:45 a.m. yesterday, June 7, 1977, at Hillview Nursing Home after an extended illness.Mr. Kemberling retired in 1959 from the Pennsylvania Railroad as a boilermaker with 42 years service.He was born March 12, 1895, in Lincoln Township, Huntingdon County, a son of Samuel and Margaret Kemberling, and married Madeline A. Prunkard on July 15, 1916, in Cumberland, Md.Mrs. Kemberling died Jan. 8, 1976.Surviving are three children, Crimpson C. and Mrs. Audrey M. Fluke of Altoona and George E. of Bellmore, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Turie Merriman of Frombell, Mrs. Ethel Bice of Hollidaysburg and Gayus of Baltimore, Md.Mr. Kemberling was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.Friends will be received in the William G. Bigelow Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Services for Samuel C. Kemberling of 513 22nd Ave. will be held in the William G. Bigelow Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Robert A. Dilliard.Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.Friends will be received in the William G. Bigelow Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
