She was educated here and later worked as a dressmaker in Toronto, until 1923, when she moved to Nelson, British Columbia.It was here that she met and married William Tickner.They had two daughters.Emma operated Tickner Tailors from 1946 until June of this year (1957).She was a member of St. Paul's Trinity United Church, the Soroptimist Club, and the Rebekah Lodge.Informant on registration at time of her death was her husband, William.
