That is a good question. The Kincheloe McPherson and Related Families book has that family members said she married Thomas Grimsley and other family members said she married Thomas Keen.
I have been helping a descendant of Thomas Keen and Loves C. Kincheloe. She has information that "Thomas C. Keen and Lovie C. Kencheloe were married in 1859 by R.P. Chase.Edmond Thelock and Calvin Cole were witness to their marriage" but no place of marriage.
I suppose getting the marriage certificate for Thomas Grimsley and Lovess C. Kincheloe and look at who married them and who witnessed the marriage would shed some light, at least know if they are the same ones in above paragraph.
Thomas Keen and Loves are in the 1860 Sullivan Co. Census. He is 21, she is 17. No children. They disappear in 1870 although there is a Thomas Grimsley, 33 and Caroline, 24, both born TN in the 1870 Washington Co. TN census P.O. Haws x Roads, where the Kincheloe's lived.
In 1880 census Thomas Keen and Loves are in Washington Co. TN Dist. 14 (LDS site) with 3 children, 1st one born abt. 1872 TN.
Their last child born in TN was abt. 1882. Then they have a child born inabt. 1883 in Benton Co AR and another child die in Benton Co. AR in 1887. From there they go to Indian Territory in 1900 and stay in OK until their deaths.
They have used the name Keen throughout these census.
I really wonder if Thomas Keen and Thomas Grimsley are the same individual. I can't explain the name change, though. I cannot find a marriage for Thomas Keen and Loves in Washington Co. TNor Hawkins Co. TN. I haven't gotten to Sullivan Co. TN. yet as our library in Hawkins Co does not have the 1850-1860 marriages.
