Then, yes they are related!
If what you say is accurate, then Amos' parents could be (Deacon) Thomas 1678-1756 & Martha Cox [my G6GPs], son of Thomas 1665-1687 & Elizabeth Knight [G7GPs], son of Henry of Salem & Ann (Putnam? Howard?), the immigrant ancester and my G8GPs. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gkbopp/KINNEY/Research/LINES/2%20MA%20Kinne.htmhttp://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gkbopp/KINNEY/Research/LINES/2%20MA%20Kinne.htm.
You may find the "Henry of Massachusetts" site interesting: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gkbopp/HENRY/http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gkbopp/HENRY/. The DNA project is especially interesting.
Since the stress is on the males at this site, the female descendants are left out. Martha Kinne, m to Joseph Skinner in Preston, CT [now Griswald, CT] in 1734, was born 1711-2, either in Salem or Preston, to Thomas-3 & Martha Cox, which makes her Amo's sister.
In addition, either Henry of Salem or his son Henry was an accuser at the Salem Witch trials. Bummer! For info and transcripts, see: http://etext.lib.virginia.edu/salem/witchcraft/http://etext.lib.virginia.edu/salem/witchcraft/. I do not know why Henry-2 isn't on the above graph. Perhaps he didn't have kids? Note that the Salem where the trials took place is now Danvers, MA. Look for the blue "The SALEM HISTORY COMMON (online community)" link to join.
Hmmm....I just noticed that if the dates entered on the graph are correct, then Thomas-2 was 13yo when Thomas-3 was born. A Puritan bad boy, mistake in dates, or Thomas-3 wasn't Thomas-2's son? I'll add THAT to my list of questions!
[ancestry.com has a record called the "U.S. and International Marriage Records, 1560-1900" for Thomas-2 & Elizabeth Knight that given his DOB as 1655 and their marriage as 1677. That makes Thomas-223yo, a more likely scenario. Elizabeth's DOB is stated as 1658.]
Good luck, Cousins!
