John Kinsella & Anne Lancaster-early 1800's-Wexford-(Ballygullen, Kilnahue?)
I am looking for information on John Kinsella and his wife Anne Lancaster from County Wexford.I assume that they were born in the late 1700's or early 1800's.They had four children: Mathew (year of birth unknown), Arthur (1824), Mary (1831), and Ellen (1841).I think that there may have been at least one other brother.Mary with "her brothers and other relatives" emigrated to New Orleans in 1849.They then took a boat to St. Louis. It was there that she met Charles Dowd, and they married in 1853.They and Arthur and his wife eventually settled in Jacksonville, IL where they were joined some years later by Ellen and her husband Thomas Troy.At some point, Arthur changed his last name to Kingsley. At the time of Mary's death in 1911, her brother Mathew was still alive and living in Ireland.By a process of elimination (since baptism records were not available at the time of the childrens' births), I think that John and Anne were from Ballygullen, Kilnahue, Gorey, Wexford and that Mathew and his family were still living there at the time of the 1911 census. If this is the correct Mathew Kinsella, he was 75 in 1911 which would mean that he was born in 1836.
