I have located a John Kinsey who was born June 18, 1807 (or 1817) in the Pendleton District of SC.
He married (21 Aug 1842) a Susanah Ray (born 15Oct1819).John is my great great grandfather.He served in CSA 4th Ark regiment, Company C from 24 Feb 1982 to 24 Apr 1862 and was discharged due to health problems.Death about 1862/63 in Ark.

Information is what I have seen from other's research.I am awaiting military records from NARA.

Our John Kinsey married Susanah Ray 21 AUG 1842

Descendants are William Alexander, James Dallas, Jesse Sanford. John Chapel, Mary Catherine, and Jefferson Layfayette who is my great grandfather.
