MARY B. KINZINGER
Mary Byrd Kinzinger, 82, of Tarboro, died Sept. 27, 2005.
She retired as a lab technician for Firestone. She was a loving mother, homemaker and craftswoman. She was a native of Belle Haven, Va., and the widow of Siegfried M. Kinzinger.
She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church where she was a part of the United Methodist Women, a Circle Member, Memorials Committee member and instrumental in teaching others how to knit, quilt and make Chrismons. She also made the large magnolia-leaf wreaths for the sanctuary for Christmas.
In addition, she was a board member for Meals on Wheels, the Edgecombe Nash Mental Health Association and a member of the Girl Scouts and animal welfare.
Mary was the daughter of the late Ora M. and Charles D. Byrd.
She is survived by two daughters, Laura L. Kinzinger of Louisburg, and Nancy Kinzinger of Portsmouth, Va., and a dog, Bru.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at St. James United Methodist Church in Tarboro with the Rev. Jim Wilson and the Rev. Caswell Shaw officiating.
Friends may join the family in Tarboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family request, memorials to be made to the St. James United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the Satterwaite Scholarship Fund.
