Re: My Wife is a Kirchgessner
Hi, I recently found out that my greatgrandmother Eva Marie Kirchgessner-Rudolph-Schloerer had a brother John who moved near Louisville, KY from the Belleville, IL area.He was married to Annie (?) and they had 6 children:George b.8/1867 d.9/9/1959 married Molly b. 10/1861; John b.1868 d.7/29/1948; Max b.1874; Peter b. 12/1877 d.10/10/1925; Annie b.1878; and Henry F. b. 6/1882 d. 4/21/1963.
John Kirchgessner is on the 1870 census living next door to his other sister Barbara Nold in Belleville.Eva Marie (then Rudolph)was living in E.St.Louis,IL. And their youngest sister Anna Ebel was living in Ohio. For some reason, John left Belleville and went to Kentucky. This branch of the Kirchgessners came from Deidesheim, Germany.
Does any of this connect with your family?
