Searching for information and descendants of Nicholas August/Gustav Kirchheimer.Born 1839 in Germany (probably Hesse Cassel) to Michael and Elizabeth Kirchheimer.Immigrated to the US late 1850's.Also Heinrich (b. 1839) and Daniel Kirchheimer (b. 1842) - brothers to Nicholas? - of Germany.Heinrich married Amalia Kirchhoff in 1862, Hamilton County OH, but does not appear in Hamilton County census after 1860.Daniel appeared in 1870 Hamilton County census, no other information on him.Occupation of all three was candymaker/peddler.
Nicholas served in the Civil War, became a citizen in 1866, and married Christina Schmitt of France in 1867, Hamilton County OH.Owned a candy store downtown Cincinnati.Had many children, but only one son.Children's names in order (spouse name in parentheses):Addeheid "Addie" (Gustav A. Brenner), Aemilie "Emma" (William A. Shaw), Lillian Christine (Samuel Seth Steidle), Anna Mary "Alma" (Anthony Schlotter), Amanda, and August "Gustav" N. (Leona Thalman).
