Emil, as I've mentioned to you, German churches in the United States tended to keep rather detailed records. So I have the same suggestion for you in the case of Christian William Lehenbauer and Katherine Kirchner as I had for you in the case of Henry Arp and Cecilie Schlicker, and that is that as your next step, you should request a copy of their CHURCH marriage record.
Christian William (in German: Wilhelm) Lehenbauer and Katherine (in German: Katharina) Kirchner were married on 7 February 1898 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hannibal, Missouri. Pastor C. F. Drewes officiated.
The marriage record may still be at the church, or it's also possible that St. John's has sent its old record to the Concordia Historical Institute in St. Louis. The marriage record will be at one of the two places.
The marriage record should give you the names of Katherine's parents, and then you will see if Katherine was, indeed, the daughter of John Henry (in German: Johann Heinrich) Kirchner and his wife Anna Gertrude Bender.
You already know that John Henry Kirchner died on 8 July 1913 in Clay Township, Ralls Co., Missouri. Anna Gertrude Bender Kirchner died on 3 March 1926 in Hannibal, Missouri. They're both buried in Hydesburg Cemetery in Ralls County, Missouri.
There is one thing I can tell you for sure: John Henry (Johann Heinrich) Kirchner and Anna Gertrude Bender definitely did have a daughter named Elizabeth (in German: Elisabeth) Kirchner, who was born on 12 August 1869 in Germany before the family came to America.
In 1891, Elizabeth Kirchner married a man by the name of John Henry (in German: Johann Heinrich) Lölkes. Their oldest child, their daughter Gertrude Lölkes, was born on 9 October 1892.
On 29 January 1912, Gertrude Lölkes married Michael Lehenbauer, who was born on 26 December 1879, a son of William (in German in full: Johann Matthias Wilhelm) Lehenbauer and his wife Julia Nunberger.
Once again, Emil, I hope that this has been of some help to you.
Robert
