Chester December 9th 1822
Mr Lyles

His Maj J Kirk wishes to administer the estate of his father.

This is to inform you Mr Worthy & I will be his jurties in the administration.If you
can arrange this business for him to act immeadatly, we will attend some other day, as
some of us could not attend on this day & Mr Kirk wishes to have the sale as early as
possible.

Ordinary of Chester District

These are to authorize and empower you or any three or four of you, whose names are
here under written to report to all such parts and places within the state as you shall be
directed by John Kirk administrator goods and chattles of Stephen Kirk late of Chester
district deceased........ over any of the said goods and chattles are or do remain within the
said parts and places, and which shall be shown unto you by the said John Kirk
adminstrator, and there view and appraise all and every the said goods and chattles, being
first duly sworn on the holy evangetists of almighty God to make a true and perfect
inventory and appraisement there of, and to cause the same to be returned by your hands
or any three or four of you, unto the said John Kirk.On or before the first Monday of
Febuary next.

Witness E Lyles, ordinary of the said district, the first monday of Febuary now next.

one thousand eight hundred & twenty two & the forty sixth year of American
independance.To Mathew Woods, Gabriel Hattsey, Thom Worthy, & William Kitehing.

J Wm Wilks one of the pasters of said district do testify that Mathew Woods and Gabriel
Hatsey, Thomas Worthy, William Kitehing came before me and took the oath given unto
my hand this 20 December 1822.
