James Kirk, born ABT 1813 in Henry County(?), KY married 15 APR 1833 in Calloway County, KY to Elizabeth Martha Brooks, dau of James Robinson and Elizabeth Chandler Brooks.Elizabeth born 20 FEB 1817 in Henry County, KY, died 1858 in ?? Missouri.

James and Elizabeth had at least 8 children:1)Melvina Jane, 2)Joseph Martin, 3)James Daniel, 4)William, 5)Sarah, 6)Eliza, 7)Amanda, 8)Martha.

I believe that James had a previous marriage, as I found this in the same record book as his marriage to Elizabeth was recorded in:
