Sorry I haven't been in touch but things have been hectic around here the last few months and every time I go to Houston to get the pictures I promised you, there is a flood and I cannot get them. Luck of the draw I guess.
I don't know if you ever knew Bill, Jr. or not, but Bill and I were just two weeks apart in age and our mothers were the very best of friends from their school days up until the end of their lives. So, you see, we were always together.
It is safe to say that Bill was more like a brother to me than a cousin. In fact I was closer to Bill than ever to my own siblings.
Because of the severity of his illness near the end it was almost impossible to communicate with him as his condition was progressively degenerative. Witnessing his great mind disintegrate is probably the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with except maybe...his absence.
