Re: Theodor A.E. Klebs (1834-1913, Asheville, NC)
unfortunately, I can't open the link with the biography, but as far as I know, my Klebs line also goes back to Koenigsberg (now Kaliningrad, Russia) from where they left to Ludwigshafen, Germany, where my Grand-Grandfathers (Julius Klebs) company (www.klebs-hartmann.de) still exists.
But Klebs isn't a very uncommon name in Germany, just by checking the german phone book (www.telefonbuch.de) you can find lots of them, whereas from my knowledge - what's quite limited concerning the Klebs family - no male Klebs from the Koenigsberg line is left in Germany. The last german Klebs I knew was Walter Klebs, who was killed with his two sons in an airplane crash somewhere in Africa.
