Jakab KLEIN and his brother Henry were born in Alsace-Lorraine in about 1868.
"Family History" says that they were twins.
Their mother Anna died when they were young and their father (Nicholas or Jacob KLEIN) moved the family to the Banat area of what was then Hungary (now Romania).
Jakab KLEIN came to the US before 1909.
He was joined by his brother, Henry in 1907.At that time Jakab was living in College Point, LI, NY.
Both Jakab and Henry are listed in the 1920 US Census as living in Manhattan, NY.
Jakab at 2413 2nd Avenue and Henry at 2411 2nd Avenue.
They are both working for a "Milk Company".
Jakab is believed to have married Elizabeth in Europe.
She is believed to have come to the US in 1911.
They are believed to have had two daughters, Elizabeth (b. ca 1895) and Catherine (b. ca 1902).
Henry KLEIN married Julia/Julianna TRAVNIK about 1896 in Temesvar, Hungary (now Timisoara, Romania).
Julia (TRAVNIK) KLEIN joined her husband, Henry KLEIN in 1909.
He was living at 2411 2nd Avenue, NY.
Julia brought their children with her.They are Eva KLEIN (b 1899 in Temesvar), Maria/Mary KLEIN (b 1902 in Temesvar) and Jozsef KLEIN (b 1906 in Temesvar).
Henry and Julia KLEIN had two more children after arriving in New York.
Julia KLEIN, b 1910 in Manhattan and George Henry KLEIN, b March 1, 1912 also in Manhattan.
I am descended from Henry and Julia KLEIN.
I hope to find descendents of Jakab and Elizabeth KLEIN.
