Rosemary,

I am brand-new to genealogy and this site.I am just getting ready to talk to my Dad and collect more information.

James Clinton Knapp was my great grandfather. He had 10 children:Mary, Mattie, Ada, Dell, Jay, George (My grandfather), Burt, Lou, Lon (?) and one other who's name I do not know.I have a picture of everyone.George had 5 children:Sanford (My Dad who is still living), Milton, Helen, Elton, and Evilin.

James and family was in Canton Township and had a farm.I think the farm house was torn down a few years ago.My grand partents lived in Plymouth on Harvy street. That house is still there.

The Hubbells were part of the family and my grandmother was a Trusdell. There use to be a Knapp / Hubbell reunion each year.I remember going to one when I was little.

You can help me with good questions as I start to interview my father.

Dad thinks James's father was Peter.Early settler in the NW Territory, Wayne County.I'll ask about Alonzo.

I'll be in touch,

Bob
