There may be a possible connection to your John Jacob Knecht (Knight) Ulrich, George W, Solomon, Thomas Jefferson,George W, Ambrus F., an my Mother Arry Belle Knight. Solomon came to Upshur Co, Texas in the Gilmer area in the mid 1840's. Solomon and his wife were charter members of the Enon Baptist Church in Upshur Co. Ulrich fought in the Rev. war,have no info on George W. except I found a George W. in Stokes Co. NC in 1810 census. Solomon's brother Simeon R. was born in NC.
Solomon and Simeon bought land in Mississippi in 1838 (Bureau Land Management files).Hope we can make a connection.
