Silas & Alanson in the same family
I found this interesting lineage in the New York Genealogical & Biographical Record Vol. 39, by Dr. Van Alstyne, page 104:
The family of Elizabeth Belden, daughter of Jane (Jannetje) Knickerbocker and Silas Belden (Beldin) as follows:
#71 Elizabeth Belden (Jane Knickerbocker, Laurens Knickerbocker, Harmen Jansen Knickerbocker), born July 1764, married Aaron Wilcox.
(i)Jane married Benjamin Knickerbocker, 2 sons and 4 daughters
(ii) Silas married Mary Ketcham
(iii)Lawrence married Laura Palmer
(iv) Elizabeth married Palmer Dorr
(v) Jehiel married Chloe ----
(vii) Henry b. March 1783, baptised South Amenia, (Dutchess Co.) NY
(viii) Seneca (twin to Henry, same information)
For those of us who are seeking Alanson and Silas Knickerbocker of New York and Michigan, the siblings' names of Silas and Alanson Wilcox is fascinating; given that their sister Jane married Benjamin Knickerbocker.
Aaron Wilcox was enumerated in Washington, Dutchess Co., NY, in 1800 with a large family.Jane, the wife of Benjamin Knickerbocker, has a birthdate of about 1788, from other sources, probably Descendants of William Wilcoxson of Derbyshire, England and Stratford, Connecticut, although I haven't verified this last.
