Although I've yet to make the family connection between these two Lewis', I think Francis Marion and his brother Lewis were perhaps nephews (?) of my Lewis(The only marriage record I've found for my Lewis was one on Jan 04, 1805, the year before the younger Lewis was born...so, I doubt that this Lewis was his son.Can you confirm that the Lewis you're referring to is one that was living in Washington County, GA in 1850?(Note: there was also a JESSE B. Knight living there at the same time).(This) Lewis and Jesse B. were originally from NC).

You've really peaked my interest in trying to establish the relationship between these people!Up until now, I was not familiar with the name Francis Marion Knight.But, this (Francis Marion) naming convention is very commonplace in my family.(My ggg uncle's name was Francis Marion Jolley). This Jolley family (also from NC) was very closely connected to the Knights in my family.
